Covid curfew to continue in Noida, Ghaziabad

Even as the Uttar Pradesh government has started easing Covid-induced lockdown from today, the Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad districts will continue to be under strict restrictions. The district administrations have extended curfew to check the movement of people. There will be no relaxations given to people as the districts have more than 600 active cases each.

The Kerala government on Monday modified the guidelines for the ongoing lockdown and allowed the state government offices to function with up to 50 per cent capacity from June 7. "All Central and state government departments, including PSUs, corporations, autonomous organisations, commissions etc. may function with up to 50 per cent staff from June 7 onwards on a rotation basis," the guidelines read.

Fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi has been moved to the government quarantine facility in Dominica, according to sources on Sunday. On Saturday, pictures of Choksi released by Antigua Newsroom showed him behind bars and with injuries on his hands and a swollen and bruised left eye. These were the first public pictures of Choksi, who had reportedly gone missing on Sunday (May 23) evening. He was later apprehended by Dominica Police on Wednesday and had been in their custody since then.
