CUET PG 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting entrances from September 1. CUET PG will be held from tomorrow for postgraduate programmes in central government universities. The CUET 2022 PG exam guidelines include shift timings and lists of items the applicants can carry to the exam centers. The CUET will be held till 12 September and will be scheduled in two slots, first from 10 am to 12 noon and the second between 3 pm and 5 pm.








China’s technology hub Shenzhen on Monday ordered the closure of the world’s largest electronics wholesale market to contain a recent spike in coronavirus cases in the southern city, amidst a call by a leading Chinese think tank for a change in the country's 'zero-COVID' policy that it said was causing widespread disruption of business.
As part of its efforts to strengthen customer protection, Reserve Bank is considering setting up a fraud registry to create a database of fraudulent websites, phones and various modus operandi used for digital fraud. Such a database will help prevent these fraudsters from repeating the fraud as the websites or phone numbers would be blacklisted, RBI executive director Anil Kumar Sharma said on Monday.

Noida twin towers demolition: Supertech's illegal twin towers were razed to the ground in a matter of just 12 seconds on Sunday in Noida and seven people -- three Indians and four foreigners -- were the only persons inside a 100-metre radius during the demolition. Only seven people were present inside the exclusion zone to trigger the button that set off over 3,700 kg of explosives in a series of blasts separated by microseconds.
The Allahabad High Court directed a Mathura court on Monday to pass an order within four months on an application seeking an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey of the Krishna Janmabhoomi and the Shahi Idgah. Justice Piyush Agrawal passed the order on a petition filed by Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman and another. The court disposed of the petition with a direction to decide the application within four months.


Noida twin towers demolition: The twin towers of Supertech was brought to the ground in under 9 seconds on Sunday. Around 500 police and traffic personnel besides the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) were deployed in the area around Supertech's twin towers. The area was put out of bounds for civilians ahead of Sunday's planned demolition of the structures. Road diversions were put in place early in the morning, as the evacuation of all residents from the two adjoining housing societies of Emerald Court and ATS Village in Sector 93A was completed around 8 am. Over 3,700 kg of explosives has been loaded into the twin towers, which are scheduled to be imploded at 2.30 pm, and an area of roughly 500 square metres around them has been converted into an exclusion zone, where no human, vehicle or animal is allowed.

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is already being probed by the CBI for alleged corruption in the Delhi excise policy scam, is set to see more trouble. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Friday sought a report from the Chief Secretary over the delay of 2.5 years on part of the Vigilance Department in acting on CVC inquiry report into the construction of additional classrooms in Delhi Government Schools. The government on Thursday decided to put restrictions on the export of wheat or meslin flour to curb rising prices of the commodity. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here. The decision of the Cabinet "will now allow to put a restriction on the export of Wheat Flour which will ensure a curb on rising prices of wheat flour and ensure food security of the most vulnerable sections of the society," an official statement said. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) will issue a notification to this effect. 



South Korea has signed a 3 trillion won ($2.25 billion) deal with a Russian state-run nuclear energy company to provide components for Egypt's first nuclear power plant. South Korea's government said Thursday the contract between the state-run Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power and ASE requires the South Koreans to provide turbine-related equipment and construction work for the plant that is being built in Dabaa, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) northwest of Cairo on the Mediterranean coast.



ED raid in Jharkhand: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recovered two AK-47 rifles during a raid at the premises of a close aide of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The weapons were recovered from the house of Prem Prakash, who is considered close to CM Soren. 




Maharashtra political crisis: The Supreme Court on Tuesday referred to a five-judge bench the petitions filed by the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde raising several constitutional questions related to defection, merger, and disqualification.




The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday said that they have attached two immovable properties in Delhi and the amounts in the bank accounts of Sneh Enterprises and its proprietor Sneh Rani totaling Rs 3.68 crore in the case of fraudulent payments of Rs 13.43 crore from the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences (RPC), AIIMS.
