Embattled Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in what appeared to be a slip of tongue, on Thursday named the United States as the country behind the ‘threat letter’ that purportedly showed “evidence” of a foreign conspiracy to oust his government.



The woman who had allegedly hurled a petrol bomb at a CRPF bunker in J&K's Sopore town was arrested on Thursday, police said. IGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar told reporters that the arrested woman has been identified as Haseena Akhtar, an overground worker (OGW) of the proscribed terror outfit LeT.

The Delhi government on Wednesday appointed Vikas Kumar as the managing director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Kumar, who is director (operations) in the corporation, will hold the post for a term of five years, said an order issued by Transport Department of the Delhi government.

Israeli paramedics say at least five people were killed Tuesday in a shooting in the central city of Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv. The circumstance of the incident was not immediately clear. The shooting took place two days after a shooting in the city of Hadera that left two police officers dead, and a week after a stabbing in the southern city of Beersheba in which four people were killed.













The Delhi airport customs department on Monday seized gold worth Rs 7.5 crore at the international airport here from two Kenyan men, officials said. In one of the biggest seizures in the recent past, the accused were intercepted after they arrived from Nairobi via Addis Ababa on Monday morning, and a search resulted in the recovery of 19 gold bars collectively weighing 15.57 kg concealed in specially made pockets, they said.

A special NIA court here has held that former policeman Vinayak Shinde, prima facie, participated in the conspiracy to plant explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's south Mumbai residence and "knowingly" misused parole granted to him in a fake encounter case. Special Judge A T Wankhede made this observation while denying bail to Shinde on Tuesday, the detailed order of which was made available on Saturday.



'The Kashmir Files' director Vivek Agnihotri arrived in Bhopal on Friday, a day after a viral clip of his triggered a row in which he could be heard saying "Bhopalis are assumed to be homosexuals". In the video clip of an interview to an online channel, the director could be heard saying in Hindi: "I have grown up in Bhopal, but I am not a Bhopali. Because Bhopali has a different connotation. You can ask any Bhopali. I will explain it to you in private. If someone says he is Bhopali, it generally means he is homosexual, a person with 'Nawabi' desires."

Srinagar Police busted a grenade-throwing module and have arrested four Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, and seized four hand grenades from them on Wednesday. The Srinagar police in an official statement said, "During a Naka checking at Bemina Chowk, one over ground worker (OGW) named Zubair Sheikh was intercepted and on his search, one hand grenade was recovered from his possession."







The Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) said on Monday that it is planning to approach the Centre regarding the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, who were forced to leave their homeland in the wake of attacks on them in the early 90s. The GKPD has come up with the proposal amid the nationwide attention the displaced community has been receiving of late following the release of 'The Kashmir Files', a film by Vivek Agnihotri which highlights the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
